I dag har jag flytt lÃ¥ngt frÃ¥n hipsters och turistande svenskar, till Gotham Coffee House (2nd avenue och 68e gatan) pÃ¥ Upper East Side. (dagen började med att vi överraskade vÃ¥r fantastiska bankkvinna Christina med tack för hjälpen-blommor och jag blev kvar i krokarna) Istället är jag omgiven av skvallrande high school-kids, magra äldre damer i exklusivt stickat, botoxade kvinnor i medelÃ¥ldern, studenter med flashcards… Bra ställe att sitta länge pÃ¥, men skulle önska att de hade egen wifi. Jag gillar verkligen att besöka kvarteren utanför rampljuset, det är ett helt annat New York.

ENGLISH: Today I’ve fled far from hipsters and touristing Swedes, to Gotham Coffee House (2nd Ave and 68th St) on the Upper East Side. (the day started with a flower visit to our wonderful bank lady Christina who’s helped us so much, then I just lingered in the neighborhood) Instead I’m surrounded by gossiping high schoolers, scrawny old ladies in exclusive knits, botoxed middle aged women, students with flash cards… A good place if you want to stay awhile, though I wish they’d get their own wifi. I really enjoy visiting these blocks outside the spotlight, it’s a totally different New York.
