Jag har tidigare skrivit om hur svårt det är att hitta gott bröd i den här staden, men Balthazars bageri (80 Spring Street) är ett härligt undantag (liksom Le Pain Quotidien, men tror bestämt att de ligger lite högre i pris). Den lilla butiken känns lika fransk som restaurangen och vill man lyxa till det lite så tycker jag att man ska slå till på deras mjölfria chokladkaka, att dela med någon som man håller kär!

ENGLISH: I’ve earlier complained about the difficulty of finding good bread in this city, but Balthazar’s bakery (80 Spring Street) is a lovely exception (as is Le Pain Quotidien, but if I’m not mistaking they’re a little pricier). The small boutique has the same french feel to it as the restaurant and if you’re in the mood for something sweet I recommend their flourless chocolate cake, to share with someone you love!
