Labour Day betyder ledig dag i USA, så jag tog halvdag och promenerade i väg till västra sidan med J. Vi köpte grym falafel på Taïm (222 Waverly Place) i West Village – kan vara den bästa på Manhattan (men Oasis i burgen är helt klart mest prisvärd) – och ett lass tidningar och gick till the Highline.

ENGLISH: Labour Day means day off, so I took half and walked to the West Side with J. We bought some amazing falafel at Taïm (222 Waverly Place) in West Village – might be the best in Manhattan (but Oasis in W-burg gives you more for your buck) – and a load of magazines and went to the Highline.

The Highline är ett sÃ¥nt ställe som bara blir bättre med tiden. Ju mer vildvuxet kring tÃ¥grälsen, desto mer ”Stand by me”-vibbar.

ENGLISH: The Highline only gets better with time. The wilder vegetation around the tracks, the more ”Stand by me” vibes.

Kunde inte låta bli att plåta fina paret som fick mig att tänka på Patti Smith och Robert Mapplethorpe. Vi fortsatte till Chelsea och såg The Debt – den får tyvärr bara en stark tvåa. Sen gick vi hem och bokade Sverigebiljett: i oktober kommer jag!

ENGLISH: I had to photograph this cute couple who made me think of Patti Smith and Robert Mapplethorpe. We continued to Chelsea and saw The Debt – unfortunately I give it a strong 2, not more. Then we went home and booked a ticket to Sweden: in October I’m yours!
